Mum Strong Terms and Conditions

  1. Commencing Training
    • You are welcome to come along for a one off $10 trial session before committing to Mum Strong group training sessions.
    • You may commence training with Mum Strong whenever it suits you - however you must have been for your 6-8 weeks checkup and been given the all clear to exercise prior to your first session.
    • If you have any pelvic floor weakness (leaking, dragging, urgency, etc), abdominal separation, pelvic instability or pain, sciatica or back pain OR your baby is less than 6 months old and you have not been exercising (walking not included as exercise in this instance) we highly recommend that you attend our Restore Your Core 8 week postnatal course or a one on one session with our women’s health physio either before or within the first few weeks of your Mum Strong training sessions commencing.
  1. Your Commitment

2.1 Your commitment to Mum Strong will be for the duration of a full school term. There are four terms in one calendar year. Each term varies in length. Should you join Mum Strong part way through a term your commitment will be until the end of the current term, unless three weeks or less remain of the term, in which case your commitment will be for the remainder of the current term and the duration of the following term.

2.2 Should you wish to continue your commitment into the next term your commitment will automatically be renewed (a rolling contract).

  • Should you wish to cease your commitment to Mum Strong you will be required to give notice in writing at least two weeks before the end of the current term. You will be notified of the opportunity to cancel your commitment via e-mail towards the end of each term. If you do not give at least two weeks’ notice to cancel your commitment at the end of the term, your contract will automatically renew for the duration of the following term.
  • If you know that you will be absent from training for two or more consecutive weeks you can make up the missed classes during any part of the current term as long as there is space in the classes to do so.
  • No credits will be given for missed sessions .I.e. you cannot tack sessions on to the end of your booked period.
  • You can change your mind within 24 hours of signing your agreement. No refunds will be given for any payments made.
  • Medical Suspension: If you are unwell and unable to attend classes for up to two weeks you will be credited for the extra classes over the current term. Should you need more than two weeks away from training due to a medical reason, please provide a medical certificate so that we can work with your healthcare provider in ensuring we can modify the exercises and intensity appropriately to best assist in your recovery.
  • Make up classes cannot be carried over into a new term.
  • Payments
    • Your initial trial session can be made through our office via email or phone communication. Your $10 fee is payable either in cash at your first session or online via a credit card.
    • Following your trial session Mum Strong requires payment upfront for the block ahead – or part-of, pro-rated to your start date.
    • You may choose to pay for a term up front in full or weekly via direct debit. Cash payments will not be accepted for this.
    • Failed attempts at direct debit payments incur a fee, charged by the provider of payment. Disputes over failed payment charges should be taken up with your bank.
    • Fees are subject to change at the discretion of Mum Strong. You will always be notified of any changes before your contract automatically renews.
  1. The Classes

4.1 Every possible effort is made to deliver classes and services as advertised. However, occasionally the way in which classes are delivered and scheduled is subject to change without notice. Mum Strong is 100% committed to keeping you moving and providing you with the highest quality service as possible.

4.2 Mum Strong is not liable to refund, transfer or offer compensation of any kind for classes that are late, changed or cancelled for any reason.

4.3 Sessions will start on time – please ensure you arrive 5 minutes before that start of your session to begin your warm up with everyone else. The start of our session is highly important in warming up and tuning into your core and postural system. If you arrive late you will be asked to warm up, stretch and perform some core and postural exercises prior to joining us.

4.4 You understand that any delays to the start of a scheduled session will not be a cause of extended services beyond the remainder of the scheduled time. You will not expect or request that the class runs overtime.

4.5 All sessions must be booked online using Mum Strong booking system and we book you into the same sessions per week for the duration of the block

4.6 Mum Strong is not responsible for the safekeeping of your belongings.

  1. Your Agreement

5.1 Your agreement starts when you submit this waiver.

5.2 On the day you submit this waiver and each time you come to Mum Strong, you promise that: 1) you are in good physical condition. 2) You know of no medical or other reason why you cannot or should not do active or passive exercise.  4.2b Please stay home and notify your trainer if you are feeling unwell with COVID-19 symptoms.

5.3 Mum Strong trainers are not medically trained. They are not qualified to assess if you are in good physical condition and can exercise without risking your health, safety or comfort. If you have any doubts, Mum Strong strongly urges you to seek expert advice before starting an exercise program.

5.4 If you believe any Mum Strong training activities might risk your health, you must tell us this in writing with full details. You must also tell us if your medical condition changes after you join. You are advised to not attend a training session if suffering from any infections or contagious illness, disease or other ailment or whilst suffering from any physical ailment such as open cuts or sores or minor infections where there is a risk, however small, to your trainer/s and other members.  We reserve the right to cancel or discontinue a session if we feel that starting or continuing the session may be detrimental to your health, safety, comfort or physical condition. You must notify us of any pre-existing medical condition or injury. Mum Strong trainers are not trained medical professionals. Before you undertake any vigorous exercise program, you should consult your doctor. If you believe there is any risk to your health from doing any of our exercises, you must notify us immediately. In attending classes at Mum Strong, you agree that neither you, your heirs, assigns or legal representatives will sue or make any other claims of any kind whatsoever against Mum Strong or its members for any personal injury, property damage/loss, or wrongful death, whether caused by negligence or otherwise.

5.5 Mum Strong may choose to refuse your membership agreement until your doctor agrees in writing that you are fit to exercise. In some cases we may ask you to show us proof that you have received medical advice on an appropriate exercise program.

5.6 Members are responsible for the safety and behaviour of their own children. Mum Strong trainers are not qualified child educators or caregivers and do not replace the care of the parent.  Their safety, behaviour and conduct are your responsibility. With your permission Mum Strong trainers will help to comfort your child if they need it. Children are not permitted to play with the equipment or move the equipment away from the training area. No liability will be claimed by Mum Strong for children’s injuries.

5.7 Mum Strong will often film or photograph the training sessions to be used for marketing on social media, so it is possible you and your child will appear in the photo or video. By signing your agreement, you allow us to use your image in promotional and other business-related material. Please inform Strong Mums if you do not want you or your child to appear in photos or videos.

5.8 Mum Strong acknowledges and respects the privacy of its members. We will securely and confidentially maintain all personal, medical and training information and individual training logs pertaining to you and will not disclose your information to any third party in any circumstance except where required by law.

Note: Mum Strong reserves the right to alter any one of these terms and conditions and without notification.
